• Hello,

I am trying to use custom colors on a new page and no matter what I do, they just are not working. Out of 4 subheadings, ONE subheading kept the selected color, the rest are black. Code is the text panel is exactly the same. I searched the forums for answers and nothing I tried worked.

I thought it may be the plugin (Use Any Font), but after testing found it has to do with the CUSTOM colors. If you change a word to a standard red or blue, it works no problem. Any custom color chosen looks fine in the draft writing panel, but does not change when updated and previewed. Any ideas?

  • It could be your theme overwriting your custom colours. To test you could temporarily switch to a default theme and see if the problem goes away.

Another option is that WordPress strips out your styles from the editor. When you’ve updated/saved your changes, is the code you added still in the editor?

It’s a custom theme, there is no default. We figured out the issue – removing the and before and after the text in question did the trick.

    Thanks!
