    Hey Malcolm

Hope you’re well? Can you let me have some clarity on which email templates I need to be working with to edit the email that goes to the customer once they have purchased the ticket.

I’ve recently upgraded Gold and it has overwritten all of my files that I edited. (On a separate subject, there MUST be a better way of being able to edit emails than having to use file manager in my web hosts cPanel)?

That aside, I’ve been editing files in /public_html/wp-content/plugins/stageshowgold/templates/emails and they are not showing changes when I go back to test it.

    Many thanks,

    Martin

It’s all in the user guide, but this may need rewording for clarity! Extract from the current User Guide is below.

As far as editing is concerned, you can edit offline and upload using FTP, edit in place with an FTP package that supports it (I use FileZilla that does just this), or you could install a WP plugin that allows you to edit the files in place.

    10.1 Email Templates
StageShow generates emails based on template files. Default template files are included in all StageShow distributions, and are copied to a subfolder of the WordPress uploads folder when the plugin is activated or updated. Working copies of the email templates are located in the following folder:
    {Your-site}/wp-content/uploads/{StageShow–folder}/emails
Emails can be customised as required by making a copy of the default template with a new name and then editing this new template as required. This revised template can then be selected on the StageShow settings page. HTML templates (where included) have a border to fix the size of the document when printing, and it is recommended that this is retained when customising these email templates.
Note: The default templates can be edited, but these edits will be lost if the plugin is updated.
