My site name is say for example “website.domain.com”

I have selected “about us” page as a static home page. So the title of home page becomes “about us – website”.

I want the title of home page to be “website”

If I remove the page name “about us” and keep it blank, the title becomes ” – website”. Also, it adversely affects the sitemap.

    Now I need to:

    1. Either get rid of the hyphen
    2. Or even better option would be to keep page name as “about us” and the title of the homepage should be as “website”

Please assist me on the same asap as my website is live and is adversely affecting my sales.

  • On the editable page that is being assigned to be the home page, you will find an SEO box with fields (labeled Yoast SEO). Specify the “SEO Title” there as you would like it shown. That will override the default values you are seeing.
