Change the pagination

Hello there. i am a newbie, and this is my first post.
I want to change my pagination it looks like ” 1 2 3….1774 Next”. i want it to look like “1 2 3 next” or something like that… i tried to find something in the editor, functions.php.. i put there a code and…surprise… site bricked. please, help. where should i edit for that pagination? thank you.
