The MailChimp widget on that page is not using our plugin.
Do you have a test page or something with our plugin’s widget so we can help troubleshoot?

Ah ok, I do have 2 mail chimp widgets…
I put your widget on a first page template and changed the template of the page…Now there is a form with “Mailchimp Signup Form” as the title, however the country box is still empty and the error still occurs.. I have removed the other widget from the page so that it is only yours at the moment.

Are the address and country fields the standard MailChimp fields (like outlined here) or did you create them yourself?
Yes, I made them using Mailchimps signup forms creator as in your link…

I made a test drop down in MailChimp.
The screen where I added the field looks different than yours.

I am wondering if you’re using a form builder or some other area of MailChimp to build out your fields and it is conflicting somehow.
Please let me know the steps you took to get to that form builder on MailChimp.
Here is how I got to it on my end:
- Click on Lists
- Click on desired list
- Click on Settings
- Choose List fields and *|MERGE|* tags
- Clicked the Add A Field button at the bottom
i used the Lists>pick list>signup forms>general forms
then you can select in the drop down box which form you want..I have created a few–confirmation,thank you emails, etc.
It looks like the page you are on was configured like I made the setting in the create forms area. I never touched the merge tags page…

Ah ok. The Signup forms area is for creating forms that are either embedded on sites or use that Signup form URL created by MailChimp.
Our plugin pulls the fields defined in List fields and *|MERGE|* tags
What do you see when you go to that page?
