• Hi there, I have a huge problem. I was looking at removing the menu on the footer of my website and edited the footer.php.

    My stupidity in editing a little piece of the footer seems to now throw up an error at the bottom of my page. Please help me by advising me what to paste into this area to change it back to the way it was or perhaps you guys can give me the original Tesserect Footer.php. I’m using the Tesserect 2 Theme.

    The error:
    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘>’ in /home1/joennajoen/public_html/wp-content/themes/TESSERACT/footer.php on line 47

    The code:
    <?php // SHOUDLD some additional content added before the menu?
    if ( is_string($addcontent_hml) && ( $addcontent_hml !== ‘nothing’ ) ) : ?>

    My website is http://www.missjoannej.com

    Please help me. Thank you. In desperation.

    Yours truly.

    Joanne

  • Visit tyler dot com and download a fresh copy of the theme. Then you can either compare footer.php with your copy and fix it, or just replace it with the new one.

    And always make changes to a child theme because updates to the theme will overwrite any changes you make to the parent theme.
