Adding a custom image in the Title

Currently the only way to achieve what you are looking for it through custom CSS. You would have to set a custom image for each accordion item in code. Unfortunately there is no shortcode attribute as you have suggested. I will add it to the list of feature requests and evaluate it further at some point in the future.
