Is client-side and server side Google integration necessary?

Plugin is working well for me. My only criticism is that on a multisite installation are you able to make the settings appear in the main network admin instead of on each subsite?

Also the the snippets that Google recommends be pasted before the closing head tag and at the end of the form – is this necessary? Mine seems to be working without it.
