• I’m running the basic WP 2015 them, with some changes via a child theme, but I suspect the issue is something else.

This is a blog for our astronomy club, and I don’t want “new subscribers” or any comments. All I’m trying to do is enter the email addresses of all our club members manually (to make it easier for them), and then have any new post generate an email with an active link to the blog that will take them directly to our electronic newsletter.

    Here’s the URL: http://dfacaz.org/2015/10/02/october-dfac-update/

It seems like some members get the emails but others don’t. I can’t manually add them on the Subscribe2 Subscribers page, since it tells me they are already on the Registered Subscribers page. I must be missing something obvious here. A solution will definitely warrant a PayPal donation. I’ve spent hours trying to figure this out. Thanks!

There are 2 different types of subscriber in Subscribe2; Registered and Public – it’s explained more here:

    https://subscribe2.wordpress.com/support/faqs/#16

You are seeing the above because you are trying to add an existing Registered Users as a Public Subscriber.

To resolve this you need to either remove the Registered accounts and only have Public Subscribers or you need to Bulk Subscriber the Registered account holders using the Bulk Management section at the bottom of the Subscriber2->Subscribers page under the Registered Subscribers tab.

Thanks. I missed that option. Didn’t scroll down far enough on the page. So I ran that “bulk subscription” option and sent a test post. Waiting to hear back from the club members on whether it worked. Will post results here as soon as I’m sure they all received that automated post notification.

OK, I’m back to report on the results of your suggestions. All but two members are now receiving automated post notifications. They are both using Earthlink for their emails. None of the other members are.

Even after adding the email address associated with SUBSCRIBE2 (which has the same domain) to their contact list (white list) they still are not receiving the emails. They aren’t finding them in their spam folders. And I’m not getting any bounce-backs.

Talked to both Earthlink and GoDaddy (who hosts the blog) and they are clueless. Running outa things to try here.

FYI: The email template is simple HTML with a single hyperlink to the new post included. Any ideas?
