I know they are different- and I know that I am on wp.org
My domain is with wp.com though and their password retrieval system doesn’t work.
I have contacted their account recovery team multiple ways (phone message, various emails) to no avail. My domain name expire TOMORROW and I don’t know what else I can do?
I AM SO DESPERATE- please, surely some of the wp.org users started on wp.com??? Please, does anyone have any ideas???
Did you contact their account recovery team via the form at the bottom of https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/ ?
They don’t offer phone support, so leaving a voicemail for the company is generally the slowest way to get support.

To inform you, you have a little time between your domain name expires and it ACTUALLY expires for you without ability to get it back.
If you registered it through wp.com, you have (at least) one week after the official expiration date. But, keep rushing to get whatever you want kindly (some domain name office make you pay a fee to get it back after the date).
