I’m developing a site that hasn’t gone live yet.

There is an anomaly in the way it generates the URLs for the posts and pages: it superimposes “index.php” between the domain name and the file name, thus –

    domainname.com/index.php/filename

The “index.php” shouldn’t be there, but it is.

This is a new problem for me; have not encountered this before. Suggestions for fixing this are most welcome?

  • Have you set your permalinks yet? What type of server/hosting are you on?

Have you spoken to your hosting tech support? I’m sure they will be able to fix this straight away for you.

Thanks, Colin. I didn’t even think of the permalinks. I’m not sure why it automatically set up the permalinks the way it did. But, yes, I’m good now. Thanks.

Awesome, glad you are sorted 🙂
