No files in the Gallery | WordPress.org

As a complete novice, I looked at your video closely. However, when I went to add my documents to Document Gallery, there were none there. I did FTP all of these files to my website and would prefer to place them in the correct WP Folder instead of adding each file.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Bonnie,

DG relies on WordPress attachments, which requires WP to know that the files exist. If you just FTP them in, WordPress doesn’t know they’re there so transitively DG doesn’t know either.
