• Hi,

I’ve been trying to translate a theme with POedit some of the strings are not visible inside POedit (they are there when i open them with a text editor)

Some of them i were able to translate and compile to .mo and it’s okay,

how can i translate those other strings? is that a syntax issue inside the .po file ?

    any help is strongly welcomed!

  • Hi Suballee,

one thing you can try is update your po file with the latest POT file.So

1.download the latest version of the theme
    2.find the pot file
3.open your po file with poedit and from the menu hit update from POT and select the POT

what this does is updating your po file with the latest string additions.

And if the said theme doesn’t include a .pot file?

how did you translate it in the first place then? you can use it’s po file if i am not mistaken.

there were already some .po and .mo files though they were incorrect, i opened up the .po inside poedit edited the strings, compiled .mo and it worked
