• howdy folks,

    just spent the past few days cleaning up the code and validating xhtml/css.. (http://www.smemon.com)

    there’s still one little bug in earlier versions of IE. the sidebar displays below content.

    i think it’s a CSS issue but i’m not confident enough to go editing..

    here’s the css structure;
    [code moderated]

    I'd appreciate any help 🙂

    no one any ideas? I know it’s a CSS issue and has something to do with padding/width in IE but i can’t pinpoint it.

    Just put your topic title in the search (or try sidebar down IE) and you will find the answer.

    It is never the code – it is always the user: putting too wide stuff in narrow divs…

    I hate it when a moderator goes to each subject and say “it has been explained before” and never give any URL as to where it was explained. Really suck.

    Think about: I have the same problem and put in search. Have a lot of posts about with NO SOLUTION.
    I see: “Go to CSS Validator”…suck!
    I see a lot of posts with tryes, no solutions.
    Advanced users can solve the issue. I think this forum is for newbies like me, or not? or you can point a good forum for us to solve this problem.

    you don’t have to dig a 10 month old thread to post your sentiment.
    What do you expected them to say when its already a known issue and resolved.

    Try, try again.
