regarding header & font-problems; try adding avada-918.css to the CSS optimization exclusion list.

regarding deferring CSS; you can leave the “ATF”-box empty, but pagespeed insights will not like that either + you will create a “flash of unstyled content” that way. but getting ATF right is not easy (esp. not for a complex theme such as Avada).

    hope this helps,

Above the fold is very tricky.

So I added avada-918.css to css optimization exclusion list and my home page is working properly as per the theme but now all my other pages look like the screenshots I sent you before. For example take a look at: http://onelfri.com/blog on a mobile device and see the difference between the homepage: http://onelfri.com

Do I need to exclude some other css files? Thank you for your help on this, really appreciate it.

This is what support from Avada is telling me (regarding the mobile theme not working):

The problem is caused by the Autoptimize plugin. When this is disabled (and the Jetpack mobile option) the default theme version then kicks in.

Note, it is not possible to guarantee compatibility with all plugins. Especially minification plugins like this.

looks that way, can you try avada-styles/avada- instead of avada-918.css?

Thank you so much for your help Frank! This actually worked now my mobile theme from Avada is working on all pages.

The only thing is my mobile pagespeed grade went down from 79 to 74, could be the previous avada-918.css will be optimized automatically soon enough? Hope so.

Otherwise I need to figure out my above the fold content and minimize round trips to server to get a higher grade. Working on it still… Google fonts css file delivery needs to be optimized too, I’ll keep on looking into it.

    Thanks again!

Well it is not possible to guarantee out-of-the-box compatibility with all themes. Especially complex themes like this 😉

No, seriously, sometimes one has to exclude stuff from optimization, that’s why the exclusion-mechanism exists in the first place. Happy mobile is now working as it should.

    Hi
we are using avada along with other things to make the user experience the best. there is minification for the CSS and JS in this customization.

please take a look at this Sharm el Sheikh excursions
we will be happy to walk you through what we did exactly to get this performance 🙂

    best regards.
