I have this theme installed on two different websites, and I’ve noticed a difference in the behavior of the main menu when resizing the browser window. On the first website, when the window reaches a certain size, the top menu disappears and a small bar comes up that says “Menu” – clicking on it will bring up the full menu.

On the second site, when resizing the window, the whole menu comes up at the top of the page automatically, without the bar.

Any idea what happened on the 2nd site? I did change the font used in the menu items, and the padding in the white bar the menu lives in using the custom css you recommended…

  • Depending upon viewing screensize menu will change accordingly, that’s how the menu has been coded. 🙂

Thank you for that observation, ashiquzzman, but the problem is that on the 2nd site, the menu is not displaying properly when the window is resized as it is on the first site. It seems that on the 2nd site, the default view in a smaller window is to have the menu expanded, when the default should be to have the single bar show with “menu” (as it does on the first site), and the menu expands only when clicked.

Did you check your theme’s option panel, does anything kind option exists for this kinda viewing change ?

On the second site, is the menu a default page menu that WP creates as you make pages, or did you make a custom menu for it?

On both sites, the menu is a custom menu. Too many pages to all appear in a single line on top, so I made a custom menu with fewer top level menu items, and sub-items below.

…I know this is sounds odd to ask, but is your custom menu assigned to the Primary Menu location (the box option on menus is “checked”)?

Not odd, perfect! D’oh! Thanks again. If we keep this up, I will have to give you my firstborn.
