Okay, open up your WordPress admin panel, find your post in the “Manage” page, (to do this, select the “Manage” tab). Click “Edit” on the post you want to edit. It should be called “Welcome to DogRunOnHudson.com” as this is the title of the post.
The “Edit Post” page will open.
In the text editor find the following text:
“Sign and Get More Signers to our new, super-easy automated letter to Parks Commish Benepe (link directly through BLOGROLL, right, or cut and paste into your browser): http://dogrunonhudson.com/letter/”
Within that block of text the following bit should be highlighted as a link (it will be underlined):
http://dogrunonhudson.com/letter/
Click on that bit of text, and you should notice the hyperlink button becomes active (a darker shade of grey). Click the hypelink button the left, this one edits and creates hyperlinks, the one on the right deletes them and we don’t want that!
When you click on the left hyperlink button a pop-up box will open. Take a look at the text in the “Link URL” textbox, it should currently say:
http:///
Replace this with the following piece of text:
http://dogrunonhudson.com/letter/
When you press the “Update” button at the bottom of that pop-up it will change the link address for you and the pop-up box will close.
Finally, click the “Save” button at the bottom of your post and when you check your homepage it should have the correct link in it.
