When attempting to update options, I select save and it says my changes have been saved, but anytime I click away from options (to say live traffic or blocked ip’s, etc.) it undoes all the options I changed back to an original default it seems.

I have been experiencing hundreds of failed login attempts to my site and was changing the basic option: to select security level – 4 locked down, as well as under login security options: lock out after how many login failures and lock out after how many forgotten password attempts.

OR are both attempts canceling each other out? Meaning I have to choose one or the other?

Hi,

Sorry to hear about the saving issues. What that usually means is that there are issues saving the changes to the database. You could have your hosting company check the permissions on your WordPress/Wordfence tables and make sure they are as expected. You could also remove Wordfence and table data and try a clean install of Wordfence. If you haven’t customized much, this would be a faster way to go about addressing the issue.

I tested it out again to see if the options would save if I selected 4. Lock Down without changing settings and vice versa. It worked, so by attempting to both lock down and customize was canceling each other out. Thanks for your help though.
