Plugin scans normal links to videos

The plugin also detects Links to YouTube videos, e.g.
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ">Test</a>. Seems kinda unexpected to me. Or is this just the way this works? How could I disable that?I’d say shortcodes + video links on a new line should be enough.
