• Hi,

the search doesn’t find all words. For example: When I search for “fax” it finds an attachment file called “Faxformular” but it doesn’t find a page with the word “Faxnummern” in the text. But it finds exactly the same page when I search for another word in the text of this page. Also, when I search for “faxn” the page is found. So the page is somehow in the index but the search doesn’t find all (parts of) words.

I tried this with other examples (other pages and other words) and faced the same problems. I cannot see any logic behind what can be found and what cannot be found.

I made sure that the index was completely built.

With default WordPress search I don’t have these problems. But I’d like to use Relevanssi because of its ability to find attachment files.

    Any ideas?

Enable fuzzy search always, and not only when the non-fuzzy search finds hits. That should help.

Also make sure you haven’t set the “Limit searches” option to a too low value; if you use it, the limit should be 500 or so.
