I’m using Sunspot, hosted on BlueHost and have absolutely NO TECHNICAL ABILITIES WHATSOEVER. I am tired of not being able to load media into WordPress so the pinned post with the “fix” is useless to me. If I don’t even know WHERE to look to FIND the code, I know enough that I shouldn’t be trying to screw around with it. WHEN IS THE UPDATED FIX COMING??? I have a 60 supplier promotion starting next week and I HAVE TO HAVE the ability to upload graphics to the postings!!

What fix? For what issue? And please stop using caps, they won’t change the answer or outcome.

Thanks, James, for your kind reply.

The fix for the overloading while trying to upload graphics into the media library. There is a pinned post regarding it and it refers to an update coming (4.3.1) but no news about WHEN it will be available.

What pinned post? Can you share the link to it? Also I’ve edited the ?????? out of your topic title.

Jan – it is a post you pinned, and the comment about the overload & the upcoming 4.3.1 fix is coming is at the very end. https://wordpress.org/support/topic/read-this-first-%E2%80%93-wordpress-43-master-list?replies=4

I’m assuming this overload is the issue since when I try to upload a graphic into the media library it just chugs and chugs and chugs… then tells me “http error”. I mentioned in another request for help that I have done all the other things of deactivating plugins, etc… I’ve tried different times of day, changed browsers, made sure the picture I was trying to upload was WELL under the limit, etc…

That will be out when they’re sure that 4.3.1 is ready, no one wants to rush a buggy bug fix release out.

For now, you can apply the fix yourself following the instructions https://wordpress.org/support/topic/high-cpu-load-after-update-to-v43?replies=17#post-7330770 which is linked to in that thread.

I am ABSOLUTELY technically illiterate. Is there something that tells me where I can find these directories?? Do I go to Bluehost or do something via my WordPress dashboard?

    wp-includes/taxonomy.php file

    Navigate to your /wp-content directory

Typically, you’ll access your server via FTP or SFTP or a file manager in your hosting provider’s control panel.

Then, edit the files with a plain text editor.
