HI Annisha,
It sounds like you may need to assign your homepage template. Have a look at our docs on how to do that and let me know if you still have questions about how to set that up.
Hi, same problem here: I want to have a much taller header on the home page.
I tried to follow your instructions, but I don’t understadn where I need to paste
[rescue_spacing size=”40px”] to make it taller
Hi Stefania,
The spacing shortcode can be pasted into a text widget. That text widget should be in the Home Hero widget area:
Appearance > Widgets
Hi,
I’d like to jump in and say that I’m having the same problem – banner instead of large, almost full screen image as the header.
I am using the “Home Page” template. And I also tried to use the text widget, but that doesn’t seem to be an option. When I do Appearance -> Widgets I only see options for “Sidebar”,”Footer 1″,”Footer 2″ and “Footer 3″. What text widget to I need to paste: [rescue_spacing size=”40px”] into?
Thanks for any guidance!

Hi – Exactly where do we past this [rescue_spacing size=”40px”] into? I have no idea where to put this.

It’s likely that you’re using the .com version and not the .org version. This forum is only for the self hosted WordPress.org version of the theme. Feedback and support for the WordPress.com version will need to be posted over there:

If you’re using the .org version, you will have a widgetized area named “Home Hero”. Paste the shortcode into a text widget that you’ve placed in that widgetized area:
