Confirmation URL 404 error (Windows IIS)

I have not used WordPress on IIS so I can’t say for sure what will work, but my suggestion is to take a look at an example like what is found at: http://www.iis.net/learn/application-frameworks/install-and-configure-php-applications-on-iis/translate-htaccess-content-to-iis-webconfig (I know it is 6 1/2 years old 🙁 ) and create a rewrite rule analogous to that prescribed in the Post Notif Installation instructions:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ – [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]

The plugin is written to detect URLs of the form “https://[My_site]/post_notif/%5Baction%5D”, even though no such directory structure exists, and route execution to the proper functions for handling, but it does require the rewrite rules in order to avoid a 404 right off the bat.
