Try deactivating your plugins to explore whether any could be responsible.

Andrew,
We have tried that, however there is no RSS code shown in page source?

I’m not sure what you mean, when I visited this link I saw an RSS feed: http://mtnweekly.com/feed

correct, however there is no html shown. When we try and use the rss validator it is not working.
We keep getting this error message – • RSS feed address did not validate. Please test your feed at Feed Validator.

I’m just trying to understand – why should there be html shown? An RSS feed by default is just XML and not HTML.

The XML part of the feed used to be listed in the header section of the HTML code, or some reference to it. It is now gone.

Oh I think I understand now. So, you had something showing up in this area I’ve outlined in red: http://snag.gy/cusUQ.jpg and is now missing? What was showing up, was it just an icon or was it a little streaming feed?

I really would like some help with this. I believe this is a simple fix. I no longer have the html code shown when looking at the page source in Firefox referencing XML or feed. I believe this code was listed at the top of the header. Can someone take a look and see whats missing?

Where did that HTML come from to begin with, was it the theme or a plugin?

Original code was in the theme. WHich is no longer supported. I do remember it mentioning XML

What did it display like in your website when it was working?
Running it through https://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fmtnweekly.com%2Ffeed it looks like this line is blowing it up:
<meta name="generator" content="deFacto 0.8" />
What is this deFacto? Your theme? A plugin?

MarkRH, now we are talking! Thank you for looking into this and giving some suggestions. The theme is called Defacto.
Any ideas for next steps, if you can help me with this I have some gear to send your way as a thanks 🙂

Ouch, in future read this so that you don’t have to battle it out with a volunteer as they try to fish out context from you: https://codex.wordpress.org/Forum_Welcome#Include_as_Much_Information_as_Possible
