Cross-Site update_post_meta, wp_insert_post, wp_update_post

Hi,

long story short:
Is there a way to select the site, for which the functions update_post_meta, wp_insert_post, wp_update_post insert or update the post data?

Like someone on an options page for Site 1 wants to update a page on Site 2, by using these functions.

If it doesn’t work, do you know any alternatives?
