• i have the latest version of wordpress but none of the latest plugins i download are showing in the admin area so i can activate them. prior to the latest upgrade, some of the plugins i downloaded would show and some would not. there are 8 listed now. is there a limit to how many show on a page and should there be a page 2?

  • No there’s no limit. Have a look at this.

    ??? help????

Are your plugins in double nested folders meaning when you extracted your plugin from a zip you left the plugin folder inside another folder then uploaded it. EX. somepluginname/somepluginname/pluginfiles.php

I’ve done this myself. Also when you upload them are you using a good ftp client like filezilla if not you should.

i will check on that. i just started using filezilla so it’s possible i may have double nested.

    thanks.

i’m still having trouble with this. there is no double nesting going on, my plugin files have the .php extension but still no success.

the only plugins showing are those that only have files in the plug in folder, not any secondary folders, i.e., the wp-print plugin isn’t showing and here is how the secondary folder is installed:

    (1)/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/wp-print/
    (secondary) /public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/wp-print/print/

but the spambam plugin shows up and works but it has not 2ndary folder, only a .txt file and a .php file:

    /public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/spambam/

    any help?

When you unzip your plugin have a look inside the unzipped folder and see if there is another folder. If there is this is the one you need to upload.

THANK YOU MANUUUU ooooh sorry for the caps but this was driving me insane and it was a folder in the folder!!

    THANKS

    Beth
