Hello, Andreas,
Thank you so much for using our plugin!
Well, in order to be able to debug the problem, I need to have the plugin enabled! Otherwise I can only guess the problem. π However I do have a few points to make.
First of all the Adaptive Images plugin will indeed make your website load a lot faster in mobile environments. In non-mobile environments it will leave the images unaffected! So, this will not show in Pagespeed or YSlow or any other non-mobile environment. Look at the “How to test” section in the plugin description for more info on testing for yourself. The most efficient tool, in my mind, is http://webpagetest.org/. GTmetrix and Pingdom are also very good, but they do not emulate a mobile environment, at least not in their free versions.
Now, about WP-Rocket, I suspect that there might be some conflict with its “Images on Request feature”, where it lazy loads your images. I believe this should only happen if you combine it with our “CDN” feature. Do you have this enabled? But I will need to have the plugin enabled to debug this. Also, I do not have a WP-Rocket license to test.
If you cannot enable the plugin again I will need 1) the output of the debug button 2) the output of the diagnostics button 3) a link to the testing page results of Webpagetest and/or GTmetrix. But enabling the plugin wouyld be the best option, just for some hours.
Cheers,
Takis

Hi Takis,
thanks for your prompt response.
I just reactivated the plugin and will keep it activated for some hours.
I’ve have not activated the lazy load option in WP Rocket.
Cheers,
Andreas
Checking it right away! π
There is something weird going on! The plugin is enabled but there is a problem with the cookie it tries to set. The cookie is set via Javascript, but it seems that its cookie is not set at all!
There are some lines of Javascript code that should be present in your HTML which are not there! This is either because the page I am looking is perhaps cached and I am looking at an earlier version or because someone (WP-Rocket maybe) strips out this part. Does this ring any bells?

No, not really. I just cleaned the cache again. Maybe it is different now?!
Any ideas?
OK, now that the cache is cleared the cookie appears alright. But, even though everything seems to be right, the images are indeed not resized as they should! The truth is that the plugin is kinda working (see here http://renderpeople.com/wp-content/uploads/images/Renderpeople_home_header_061_40.jpg?resolution=320,1) but it is not working as expected!
1. May I ask you to send me the contents of you .htaccess file? You can strip out any sensitive information, of course. Perhaps WP-Rocket adds something in there that blocks it.
2. Does WP-Rocket have any options concerning cookies? Perhaps blocking them or removing then in any way?
PS: I believe you can leave the plugin enabled, until we find the problem. It does not seem to cause any problem. The images are just not resized (yet!).

I just emailed the access to you!
Hello, my friend,
Have you seen my latest email? I believe you have no problem now any more, right? Let me know if there is anything else you need!
π
Cheers,
Takis
Hello, from here, too,
After our email correspondence we did not reach a definitive conclusion. The plugin seems to works well with the CDN, but I did promise better support for this feature in the forthcoming version 0.7.0.
Let me know if you need anything else!
Cheers,
Takis
