Comments are disabled for jobs by default since in most use cases they are not required.
Dear Mike,
Thank you for your prompt reply. In this case we ant to use WP job manager for posting details of Freelance Jobs within a closed member group and want users to be able to post questions related to the job. Is there some way to allow the comments functionality to work?
I have an example for resumes, https://gist.github.com/mikejolley/9984a9d22169db653dab just change all instances of ‘resume’ to ‘job_listing’ in that snippet.
Thank you for this Mike. However I don’t know the first thing about coding and I’m afraid I will ruin everything. Can you recommend someone who might be able to make the necessary changes?
You could post on jobs.wordpress.net if stuck.

All individual job posts show “Comments closed” although the WordPress setting is set to:
Automatically close comments on articles older than 14 days
I do not see anything in the WP Job Manager settings to adjust this.
Version is: 1.23.6
