• I recently had to start from scratch because of previous issues with bad files. During that time all the existing admins to the site could blog and do what they wanted. Now after re-installing wordpress I am the only one who can see the visual editor. We’ve tried different web clients and nothing. When I login with their user names I can see the editor even though they can’t. Thoughts?

If you’re seeing it, even under the accounts, then the issue is likely on their end.

First, please ask them to make sure that their browser is up to date by visiting http://whatbrowser.org/

If it is not, please ask them to try updating their browser or switching to a different browser.

If it is, please ask them to do these two things:

    1. Try clearing their browser’s cache and cookies.

    2. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

Please let us know how each step goes for them, and which browser (and version of) they’re using if they’re still having trouble.

Have you tried clearing wordpress cache ?

    Thanks guys for the feedback.
James – we cleared the browser cache and cookies and there are no browser extensions.

Vivek – I downloaded a WP Super Cache plugin this morning and cleared the wordpress cache. If anything changes I will report back.

    Thanks again for the help.

e9studios, WordPress itself doesn’t have a cache, so installing WP Super Cache just now didn’t do anything besides actually create a new cache.

If you don’t want a cache, make sure that you uninstall it following this complete guide: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-super-cache/other_notes/ If you don’t follow the whole thing, there will be further problems down the line.

Can you let us know which browser (and version of) they’re using?

Meanwhile, try downloading WordPress again and delete then replace your copies of everything except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings. Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.
