Timthumb is the cause. It cannot access the images to rewrite them.
You need to update everything and get rid of timthumb, if that isn’t an option, let me know please. I’m here now.
Go ahead and upgrade it first.
Here’s proof

Thanks so much I am looking at this now. where about would I find TimThumb? Is this a widget? Also If it is not an option what else can I try?
It is within the theme files. It will have to be updated – but inevitably would be best to upgrade everything and ensure it works – then use a new slider like Revolution Slider, or anything that’s been patched recently. TimThumb had some vulnerabilities and keeping things up to date goes hand it hand with the site just “working”.
If I update will it case any issues? I going to update in the next few mins.
Sorry for all the question, but were would the Theme file be at? I am looking on the left side.
Under Appearance, Editor, then on the far right in that file list MAY be the timthumb.php file, but also may be under Plugins->Editor.
Ok, so I am not able to do the auto update. Here is the error I am getting:
Downloading update from http://downloads.wordpress.org/release/wordpress-4.2.4-new-bundled.zip…
Unpacking the update…
Could not create directory.: /var/www/vhosts/tindallconstruction.com/httpdocs/wp-content/upgrade/wordpress-4.tmp

I have searched google for this and found a few about this problem. I have filezilla so I can back the the site because I am sure there has never been a backup. I am still kinda in the dark on trying to get this up and working for them.
I have tried to find the wordpress/wp-config.php file and change it hoping that this could start the update at least but I can not even find the file. I thought word press would be simple but I guess since the owner never kept p the site is a bit harder.
Tech, Thats the problem. I am not able to get to the directory permissions to see if they are set correctly. I have have the site owner who was the prev web admin and they said that the person is know where to be found and his number has changed. Is there a walk through on how to check out the permissions? I do understand how to do all of the things needed to do to check but they have no clue about the FTP itmes that the prev web admin had or where he put them. I did read the link and I get it all. I saw this in the link:
Typically, all files should be owned by your user (ftp) account on your web server, and should be writable by that account. On shared hosts, files should never be owned by the webserver process itself (sometimes this is www, or apache, or nobody user).
Since I can not find the FTP account on the web server or the shared hosting files are they screwed, or is there something else I can try. Thanks for all the help.
Sadly … no :/ If you can’t get in via FTP or command line then you really can’t tell.
Do you have access to the hosting company’s panel for the site?
Ok, So I am back and I have the login to there hosting site, which is Networksolutions.com. I am not seeing a place to FTP in or to see the site files.
I see that Networksolutions has a product call spaceManager but I get this message:
(There are no Space Manager products or Shared Folders associated with your account.)
Is there a certain place I need to look? Am I in the wrong place? Thanks
