When you install a new theme and hover over the thumbnail of it on the Themes tab inside your Newsletter editor step, there’s 2 icons that shows up: a Check and a Delete one (x). If you click on the Check one, that theme will be the default for the next newsletters you’ll create.
You can create a default newsletter and then just duplicate it, instead of creating one from scratch all the time.
Does these answers solve your questions?
Hi,
no, unfortunately these answers didn’t solve my questions.
I’ll try to explain it better.
I add a new custom theme.
I made the new custom theme as default theme by clicking the “check” icon (v).
I delete the old default theme by pressing the “delete” icon (x).
In the plugin folder I deleted all the files such divider, share icons, and etc , that my new custom theme doesn’t need.
However, every time I create a new newsletter, the header is the correct on (new theme), but the blocks that already there (by default) are from the old theme, and so goes for the picture.
where is the plugin taking the picture? and the style? because I deleted all the files in the plugin folder.
so the questions are:
1) can I start with a TOTALLY BLANK newsletter?
2) if not, can I set to start with a newsletter with already some blocks in, but from my theme?
Here a screenshot to make it clear
>>>how it is
>>>how it should be
If you notice, in the first image, the divider are in, but the png file is missing, that’s why I deleted from the folder. But if I go in the divider setting, I still see 2 dividers instead of one, so everytime I have to change that setting too.
Answering your questions:
1) can I start with a TOTALLY BLANK newsletter?
No!
2) if not, can I set to start with a newsletter with already some blocks in, but from my theme?
No, as well!
We are aware this is a problem, and we are going to fix it on the upcoming version of MailPoet. You’ll be able to create a default template and start from there. Sorry about this!
No worries guys!
It is a great plugin however! And it is good that you will implement this in the upcoming version!
Happy working and thank you for your efforts!
