Hi everyone,

My WordPress site is somehow running really slow. I tried the WP Optimize and WP cache plugins as suggested by others who had similar experiences, but it’s still running slow.. Any advise would be much appreciated. Kat

According to http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/cJMXqo/http://www.kingscountypolitics.com/ your home page is 1.8mb in size and took over 8 seconds to load.

The background image http://www.kingscountypolitics.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/DowntownBrooklyn1.jpg is 1.1mb alone. Optimise it!

Then check that report to see which files are either not needed, or need to be made smaller.

Is caching switched on? It seems slow, considering.

The speed definitely improved, but I feel that it’s still relatively slow..

I do have the WP Super Cache turned ON..

Could it be my host provider: Bluehost?
