wp-email plug-in/ problems installing

Hi, I tried to install the wp-email plug-in to my site. i added it under the plug-in folder, however, when i go to admin in wordpress, i do not see it as a plug-in that needs to be activated. can anyone pls. advise on what i may be doing wrong?
