Looking for Additional Information on Using WordPress.org API for plugins?

    I’ve been to the WordPress.org API Codex page. as well as to the documentation referenced on DD32’s site and the tutorial on Tuts+, but still looking for more info. on using the WordPress.org Plugin API. Particularly interested in getting a list of all plugins ordered by downloads.

    I’d appreciate:

    1. Any links to further info. on the WordPress.org Plugin API generally.
    2. Any links or examples of returning a list of all WordPress.org Plugins ordered by download count specifically.

    Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
