The field you enter your name in is a text field but not a “textarea” which is the kind that allows links. I’m going to change that to be a text area field on the next update for the theme.
Quick question though…are you linking something to your own site or to an external source?

The only problem is, once I submit an update to this theme, I’m not sure how long it will take the review team to approve the changes. You may be waiting for a short while.
Only other option would be to contact me from my site and I can send you the updated version.

My apologies…this is one update I forgot to add to my recent update. I’m going to be doing one more update in a day or so, which will give the option to use the large or smaller curved graphic on the banner. So I promise to include the update to the footer copyright on this one as well. It will probably take the review team about 4-5 days to approve the update.
Quick follow up….were you planning to link the copyright name or were you looking to add a new line separate from the copyright with something that links to the external source?

No, in this instance I wanted to link the name of my web design firm – so an external link. “This site designed and maintained by [name of firm, linked to website]”.
So then it’s not part of the actual copyright line, but separate on a new line as:
“This site designed and maintained by [name of firm, linked to website]”
Above or below the copyright line? The reason why I ask this is because instead of allowing a linked copyright function, I can add a new widget position in the footer so you can do that (and add anything else). The pro version has this, but I could add it to Longevity instead. This might make it easier, but also more flexible.

I’m uploading the update tonight with an extra sidebar position in the footer then. I’m also adding a couple more things to Longevity. More is always better 🙂
OK, done. The theme is now version 1.1.6 which adds a footer sidebar that goes just above the copyright (the copyright should be the last thing). You can use a text widget to add your “…site designed by…” to it with a link. There’s other things I added to this update (check the changelog.txt for that.
**Please note that we just have to wait for the theme review team to approve it. My guess is about 4-5 days.
