Slideshow problems

I have been trying to get this theme to work properly for quite some time. There does seem to be sort of issue with the slide show. I have followed your documentation many times over and can not seem to get it working.

Important to note: Make sure that on the Settings > Reading page your homepage is set to display “Your Latest Posts”.

When I select “Your Latest Posts” I get nothing on the page apart from the logo, nav and footer.

The only way I can get the slideshow and featured pages to show is if I select a static front page (regardless of what content is on the selected static page, it only shows the slideshow and featured pages), which is the complete opposite to the documentation.

Even though the slideshow is displayed, only the first image is shown and it does not cycle the other images. I also have no navigation to cycle through the images.

Please help.
