api key – youtube

anyone having trouble with youtube vids? they just don’t load and time out. i tried to add my blog to youtube thinking they have made it necessary to load vids on their site only through youtube.

i need an api key. i read what wordpress says on how to find it but i don’t see the key # anywhere.
