• Hello,

    It seems with each WordPress upgrade, things change. I use to have a <embed> code that worked just fine but apparently WordPress now handles it differently.

    Keep in mind I am blind and I use Jaws screen reader software, so perhaps I am missing something.

    This code use to work when pasted into the html editor inside a page.

    <EMBED SRC=”http://sitename.com/fp.mp3&#8243; AUTOSTART=”TRUE” HIDDEN=”TRUE”>

    Now WordPress thinkgs its a video or something. And even though I have specified for the player to be hidden, the player controls are being displayed.

    So what am I doing wrong? Does this code need to be inside the index.html or index.php file instead? If any of these, inside which WordPress folder? Wp include, Wp Content, etc?

    And for those who think an audio sound on a website is a bad idea, this audio clip is only 3 seconds long, and has been modified to play at a lower volume.
    thanks.

    Another thing if I could…

    Where is the html editor in the latest WP update?

    WP keeps stripping the <embed> tags. I can’t seem to find the easy html area.
