Hi there,
Thanks for getting in touch.
So this means there’s a fatal error in BackUpWordPress. If you enable WP_DEBUG it should spit out the error, if you could send that to me that would be great.
In addition, could you tell me the version of the plugin you’re installing and what version of PHP you’re running on your server?
Cheers!
Owain
I have the same issue, but only in the remote installation (the production one, obviously…).
When I try to activate the plugin (v.3.2.7), I get a blank page and the activation stops on the address http://mysite.com/wp-admin/plugins.php?activate=true&plugin_status=all&paged=1&s=
On the local installation (same wp core, same database…) it is working well.
Local server: windows7, Apache 2.4.4, PHP 5.4.15, MySQL 5.5.31
Remote server: ubuntu, PHP 5.5.9-1ubuntu4.9, MySQL 5.5.43.
I tried to enable WP_DEBUG, but I see nothing but just a blank page.
On the firebug console i get
The character encoding of the HTML document was not declared. The document will render with garbled text in some browser configurations if the document contains characters from outside the US-ASCII range. The character encoding of the page must be declared in the document or in the transfer protocol.” @ plugins.php
Thank you
Carlo
Hi Carlo,
Do you have error logs on your server?
Might I recommend you reach out to us through our support channel?

Cheers!

Hi Owain,
I cannot enable support, because I cannot even enable the plugin itself.
Though I have wp_debug enabled, no error have been logged.
Good point.
Can you email us at backupwordpress@hmn.md? And we’ll go from there.
Cheers!
Owain
