• Hi, any help is appreciated here.

    PROBLEM:

    1)When I try to visit the new site on my network, I only see an index with cgi-bin.

    2)When I try to access the admin dashboard for the new site, I get the following: The requested URL /index.php was not found on this server.
    Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    WHAT I’VE DONE:

    I’ve configured my server, namely adding this to httpd.conf according to this documentation: http://codex.wordpress.org/Before_You_Create_A_Network
    <Directory />
    AllowOverride All
    </Directory>

    I’ve edited both wp-config and htaccess files according to this documentation: http://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network

    wp-config:

    /* Multisite */
    define( 'WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE', true );

    define('MULTISITE', true);
    define('SUBDOMAIN_INSTALL', true);
    define('DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE', 'dev.writersonsocial.com');
    define('PATH_CURRENT_SITE', '/');
    define('SITE_ID_CURRENT_SITE', 1);
    define('BLOG_ID_CURRENT_SITE', 1);

    /* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

    /** Absolute path to the WordPress directory. */
    if ( !defined('ABSPATH') )
    	define('ABSPATH', dirname(__FILE__) . '/');

    /** Sets up WordPress vars and included files. */
    require_once(ABSPATH . 'wp-settings.php');

    htaccess:

    # BEGIN WordPress
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]

    # add a trailing slash to /wp-admin
    RewriteRule ^wp-admin$ wp-admin/ [R=301,L]

    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [OR]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d
    RewriteRule ^ - [L]
    RewriteRule ^(wp-(content|admin|includes).*) $1 [L]
    RewriteRule ^(.*\.php)$ $1 [L]
    RewriteRule . index.php [L]

    # END WordPress

    Wildcard subdomains have been created accurately.
    I’m not sure what else to do.
