• I am unable to publish a post because my entire sidebar has gone missing. I cannot save draft, publish, or set featured image.

When I click on all posts, I get an “Invalid Post Type” error. When I click on pages, nothing populates, but it correctly says up above that I have 5 pages. From the dashboard, I can see drafts, the correct number of posts, comments, etc. I am able to view a preview of the post, but that’s it. The last time I published and had no issues was almost 3 weeks ago.

What I have done so far:

    1) Made sure I have admin rights
    2) Made sure screen options shows 2 columns
    3) Checked on various browsers (currently using Safari)
    4) Cleared cache/cookies
    5) Updated flash
    6) Restarted computer
    7) Tried on various browsers on another computer
    8) Checked with host to make sure I’m not at data limit

Not sure what is going on but I haven’t been able to figure out what is going on. I’ve seen others with similar issues, and one post in particular that seems to exhibit the exact same issues, but there was no resolution.

    Any ideas?

I should also add that we’ve deactivated all plugins, which did nothing.

I haven’t changed to the twentyfifteen theme yet, as I don’t know if that will automatically screw up all of the work I did a few months getting everything sized and perfect for this theme. If there is no worry there, then I will switch it over.

I have also tried posting from a different IP as well.

I’ve also noticed that under screen options in the admin panel, it shows that tags categories and featured photo are all selected, yet they do not show up at all in the editor. I’ve tried moving things around to minimize them and see if it was just hiddin behind something, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

When I tried to delete the Simple Custom CSS plug in, I got an error, but it eventually let me delete it.

I am trying to do a workaround and publish from mobile for the time being.

    My suggestions:

    1. Make a complete backup of your files and database.
    2. Switch themes. If it works, switch back to the old theme. If anything is missing restore the backup.
    3. Go to /wp-admin/update-core.php and click “Re-install Now”

I am just logging into wordpress.org and trying to post a review as I have done many times, but there is no “publish” selection, just “edit post” but it goes nowhere.

    Appreciate any help.
