making the site go live??

    Ok… I created the new website in a subdirectory… Now I have NO idea how to replace the old site with it so that the main web address goes to the new site??

    The web hosting people were useless in helping me. sigh

    Your old site is mysite.com and your new site is mysite.com/new

    Now you want to redirect mysite.com to the new site mysite.com/new?

    OR

    You want remove the content from mysite.com and replace with the content of mysite.com/new, then get rid of mysite.com/new?

    which is the best way to do this?? just redirect or to move the content???

    Well I guess for now I redirected the main site to the new one…

    What is the disadvantages of that?? I really cant figure out how to replace the whole site with the new wordpress one and Im too afraid of losing all my content…. :/

    I would replace the old one with the new one. Whats the URL of your website and do you have backups?
