Ok, hopefully someone will have a simple solution to my problem. First off, i’ve followed everything that is documented in the trouble-shooting/FAQ guide. For some reason, I just cannot get TinyMCE to work, at all. I’m using SiteOrigins Vantage Theme, I’ve even upgraded to the Premium version thinking this would solve the problem – No!

So, one thing that i am now noticing is this message on my Live Site –

Notice: Undefined index: type in /home/guesthou/public_html/wp-content/plugins/black-studio-tinymce-widget/includes/class-text-filters.php on line 135

I have no idea what it is referring too, but obviously something to do with Black Studio tinyMCE. Maybe its a bug, maybe its my stupidity. I’m sure someone can tell me!

  • I have the same issue here. I’ve deactivated all other plugins (except page builder since tiny MCE work w/ that one!). Anything I input into the visual editor gets erased when I update page. I can create other non-MCE widgets when I have MCE deactivated and they will be correct after activating the MCE again though if I create the same when MCE is active it doesn’t work. The pages have ( it HAS worked til recently) a portfolio and a Bookly payment/scheduling plugin though it happens if there’s only one widget on the page. Tried with twenty twelve theme…still no luck.

    WordPress 4.2.4
    Siteorigin Vantage theme
    latest tiny MCE
    No error codes
    Happens in Chrome or Firefox

Unfortunately I was not able to reproduce the problem with the following environment:

    • WordPress 4.3
    • Black Studio 2.2.6
    • Page Builder 2.1.5
    • Vantage theme 1.4.2

My problem has been solved. It was indeed Page Builder. Thanks Marco.

    Hi Profound Studio,
I think I am having the same problem as you! Please tell me what you did to fix your issue.
    Thanks!

Well I didn’t do much it was SiteOrigin the authors of vantage theme and Page Builder. They didn’t actually say what they did sorry.
