need small 2 hints for creating plugins

    I am going to make few new plugins but I need 2 hints for what i have not found elsewhere

    1. Is it possible to add my own options under Options / General menu page, or do I have to always make a new tab?

    2. Is it possible to delete (using some hook) a side “box” on write page/post page? (not just hidding it using css)

    if yes – a hook and an example code would be welcomen
