    Hello forum!

I installed WordPress 2.3 correctly, logged in for the first time using install.php, logged into admin, and went to manage / import / blogger to transfer my non-blogspot, new google, blogger blog to wordpress. Unfortunately, that’s when I learned for the first time that the import function doesn’t work for non-blogspot-hosted blogger blogs.

A help forum search explained that one should change the blogger blog to blogspot hosting, and then perform the import to wordpress (which seems like a great idea).

Unfortunately, before I realized that I could just log into blogger like usual and changed the hosting to blogspot, I went into my filezilla and started deleting WP files (erroneously thinking that I would need to get rid of WP to get back to blogger settings).

Now, my blogger website lives happily on blogspot, but I can’t get WP reinstalled. All the database wp-config stuff seems correct, but when I go to http://mywebsite.com/wp-admin/install.php, I get the following:

Warning: main(./includes/upgrade.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/m/e/l/melissawoolf/html/wp-admin/install.php on line 10

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required ‘./includes/upgrade.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/content/m/e/l/melissawoolf/html/wp-admin/install.php on line 10

    What am I doing wrong?

Never mind … I find an error in the installation (put WP-content in WP-admin instead of /). User error as usual.
