• WP – 4.2.2
    Theme – Twentyfourteen

I am experiencing a lot of strange issues in the admin console

    1. When I click on Posts, I get an error invalid post type
    2. When I click on Pages, I see “no pages found”. However, at the top it shows All(16) | Published(14) | Drafts(2)
    3. If I view a post and click edit, I can edit the post, but there is no save button. in fact, there is nothing at all in the right column where I would expect to see the option.

I have removed all plugins and themes that I do not use, disabled ALL themes, and reinstalled 4.2.2. Nothing seems to work. I have looked at the error logs and dont see anything logged when this occurs. The site has been running unchanged for quite a while. The site is setup to automatically load the wordpress updates, so that is the only thing I can think of that changed. I have seen some other posts with similar errors, but haven’t had any luck with the fixes.

I have noticed a couple of additional issues.

If I try to customize my theme
    Appearance > Customize
    Appearance > Background
    Appearance > Header

    I get the following error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function is_theme_active() on a non-object in /home/ncolling/public_html/wp-admin/customize.php on line 88

Any luck fixing this? I am having the same issue.
