Moving databases and blogs between servers

Hi everyone,

I have copied the entire blog directory from server1 to server2 and now server2 posts and settings look like server1.

I also copied the database from server1 to server2 however blog on server2 is accessing the database of server1. My aim is to preserve the posted titles from server1 to server2 and have them appear on server2 and then continue posting on server2. The problem is, server2’s wordpress blog is totally reliant on the database that resides on server1 because I just copied the blog dir.

The server2 database is exactly the same (a copy) as the server1 database, it just has a different name.

May someone please help me and tell me what I need to edit, modify in order to continue posting on server2 (while preserving the previously posted titles on server1) and start using the copied database on server2. Then I can just delete the one on server1.

Any help will be appreciated.
