Please Help Me With A Downgrade

    Hello,
    i am writing to ask help to the forum community.
    I explain my issue, i have a website: site.com , one year ago i decided to create a multisite because i needed to separate all the different italian regions, so i had this structure: region1.site.com ; region2.site.com …. I was using the same WP installation and theme, for each subdomain i had a dedicated IP.

    At today i removed all the regional subdomains, i created region folders [site.com/region1] and i pointed with a 301 all the old subdomains to the new folders.

    After i removed all the subdomains from the network now i have a multisite with just one website: site.com.

    I would like to restore a normal WP installation, i cannot really find how to do.

    Hoping that everything is clear i hoipe that someone here cna give me a tip.

    Did you manually set it up as a multi-site or did you use a service like Godaddy to automatically create it?

    Hi, i did by myself. I just follow the instructions that i found on the web.

    Follow them in reverse. Take the code out of htaccess and wp-config files that you added to make it a multi-site. Do a full backup before you do this, though. Just in case something goes wrong.

    so is it enought to do that? shouldnt i also remove some ntword db tables?

    It won’t make a difference. I’ve done this twice and had no issues. You’ll have the extra stuff in your database, but it won’t affect your site.

    I’m not too SQL savvy, so I’m not sure what table can go, but I know that you don’t need to get rid of them for the site to revert to a functioning single site.
