    What you have are two installations of WordPress, and changing the settings of one will not get you to the other. So what you need to do is to use cPanel to delete everything related to the /wp/ sub-domain and sub-folder, and to then get the database for your “root” installation to again recognize your domain URL. If you wish, you could ask the folks at your host to simply reset or “nuke” your account to get you back to the beginning.
