Can’t login

    Hi there,

    I have setup a new weblog with wordpress 2.2.3 for a good friend of mine. The problem for us is the fact that we can not login. When we try to login to dashboard we just get this message in the browser url field:

    http://justaneksampel.com/wp-admin/upgrade.php?_wp_http_referer=%2Fwp-admin%2F

    I have tried to upgrade to the new version 2.3, but that failed and I do not now way it did that. When I to run the upgrade script its just write “Done” i the left corner of FireFox.

    Should I delete the old database and start all over or is there a way to fix it without doing that operation?

    I know, it’s a long time ago, but today i have the same problem and i found a way to fix them for a while…

    Open admin.php in the folder “wp-admin” of your wordpress installation.

    Found at the top…
    if ( get_option(‘db_version’) != $wp_db_version ) {
    wp_redirect(get_option(‘siteurl’) . ‘/wp-admin/upgrade.php?_wp_http_referer=’ . urlencode(stripslashes($_SERVER[‘REQUEST_URI’])));
    exit;
    }

    Delete this line (Make a backup before!!!!)

    Go again back to you login path of wordpress…

    I don’t know why this fix the problem and i think it’s not the finest way, but hey, i come back to my admin panel.
